The terms and conditions of the HSBC PacificLight Energy November/December 2021 Promotion shall be as follows:
- A customer who holds a HSBC credit card (except HSBC Debit cards and HSBC Corporate cards) issued by HSBC Bank (Singapore) Limited (“HSBC”) in Singapore (such HSBC credit card, a “Card”) as a credit cardholder (as the case may be), whose credit card account (as the case may be) is in good standing with HSBC over the entire Promotional Period (as defined below) and at the time of fulfilment (as determined by HSBC at its discretion) and who fulfils these terms and conditions (such customer, a “Cardholder”) shall be eligible to participate in the promotion (“Promotion”).
- This Promotion is valid from 22 November 2021 to 31 December 2021 (both dates inclusive) (the “Promotional Period”).
- Cardholders who sign up for or renew a PacificLight Energy Plan (defined below) are eligible to participate in this Promotion.
- HSBC reserves the right to determine at its sole and absolute discretion whether Cardholder(s) have met all the requirements of this Promotion.
- This Promotion is applicable to new and existing customers who are setting up recurring bill payment for the first time with a HSBC credit card.
- This Promotion is available to new and existing PacificLight Energy customers.
- This Promotion is limited to the first 400 customers.
- This Promotion is applicable to:
- Rebate 1: New PacificLight customers will receive S$15 bill rebate if he/she fulfils all the following:
- Sign up for a 12 months PacificLight Energy residential electricity plan (“PacificLight Energy Plan”)
- Successfully sets up a recurring payment arrangement and makes first recurring payment for the PacificLight Energy Plan to an HSBC Credit Card by 31 March 2022.
- Register to redeem the rebate after setting up recurring bill payment.
- Must have a monthly usage of not less than 60kWh and make full and prompt payment prior to disbursement of rebate.
- Rebate 2: New PacificLight customers will receive S$25 bill rebate if he/she fulfils all the following:
- Sign up for a 12 months PacificLight Energy residential electricity plan (“PacificLight Energy Plan”)
- Successfully sets up a recurring payment arrangement and makes first recurring payment for the PacificLight Energy Plan to an HSBC Credit Card by 31 March 2022.
- Register to redeem the rebate after setting up recurring bill payment
- Must have a monthly usage of not less than 60kWh and make full and prompt payment prior to disbursement of rebate.
- Rebate 3: Existing PacificLight customers will receive S$15 bill rebate if he/she fulfils all the following:
- Must have a remaining balance of six (6) months period in the 12-month residential electricity contract with PacificLight
- Successfully sets up a recurring payment arrangement and makes first recurring payment for the PacificLight Energy Plan to an HSBC Credit Card by 31 March 2022.
- Register to redeem the rebate after setting up recurring bill payment.
- Rebate 4: Existing PacificLight customers will receive S$25 bill rebate if he/she fulfils all the following:
- Must have a remaining balance of six (6) months period in the 24-month residential electricity contract with PacificLight
- Successfully sets up a recurring payment arrangement and makes first recurring payment for the PacificLight Energy Plan to an HSBC Credit Card by 31 March 2022.
- Register to redeem the rebate after setting up recurring bill payment.
- The relevant rebates described above shall be referred to as the “Rebate”.

- The Rebate will be credited by PacificLight Energy and used to offset the Cardholder’s electricity usage charges invoiced in the PacificLight Energy electricity bill. Rebates cannot be used to offset amounts payable for security deposit and all non-electricity usage related charges. If the electricity bill amounts to less than the value of the Rebate, the remaining value will be used to offset the subsequent electricity bill(s).
- Cancellation or switching out of the HSBC Credit Card during contract period will render the customer ineligible for the Promotion.
- PacificLight has the right to disqualify, terminate, blacklist and/or reject your entitlement for any rebate if PacificLight is of the opinion that there has been any breach of these terms and conditions, regardless of the time of discovery of the breach. PacificLight reserves the right to forfeit or recover any value or rebate of the Promotion (whether already offset against your electricity charges or otherwise) in the event of any breach of this Promotion, breach of the electricity retail contract or early termination before Supply End Date stated in the contract.
- In the event of a clawback, PacificLight will advise HSBC on the refund amount and refund via payment transfer.
- The Rebate will be credited to the Cardholder by 30 May 2022. If the Cardholder refunds or cancels the PacificLight Energy Plan, he/she will not be eligible to receive the Rebate.
- If the Rebate or any part of the Rebate is not utilised by the HSBC credit cardholder, upon the expiry or termination of the PacificLight Energy Plan, such unutilised Rebate will be forfeited. The Rebate shall under no circumstances whatsoever be paid out in cash or in kind to any party.
- Save for existing credit card promotions, this Promotion is not valid with other promotions, special discounts, roadshow activations, unless otherwise stated.
- By participating in this Promotion, the Cardholder shall be deemed to have read and agreed to the terms and conditions of the Promotion.
- Neither party shall be responsible for any failure or delay in the set-up of the recurring payment transactions, which may result in a Cardholder being ineligible to receive the Rebate.
- HSBC is not the supplier of and accepts no liability for the goods and services provided by PacificLight Energy in this Promotion. PacificLight Energy is not the supplier of and accepts no liability for any services provided by HSBC in relation to any Card.
- PacificLight Energy and HSBC reserve the right to vary any of these terms and conditions, or to withdraw this Promotion, at any time in their discretion without prior notice.
