Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain and monitor detailed project plans and schedules using scheduling software for the power plant construction project.
Coordinate with project teams to ensure timelines are aligned with overall project milestones.
Develop, track, and manage the project budget, ensuring all costs associated with the power plant construction are controlled.
Conduct cost forecasting and variance analysis, providing insights on budget discrepancies.
Work closely with finance and procurement teams to ensure cost efficiency and effective resource utilization.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as project timelines, and resource utilization.
Monitor the progress of the construction work and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays, budget overruns, and other issues affecting the construction project ensuring activities are on schedule and identify any deviations from the project plan.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to resolve construction-related issues to minimize disruptions to the project timeline and budget, safety issues, and regulatory compliance, with relevant stakeholders to resolve solutions.
Collaborate with project team and Owner Engineer to ensure smooth project execution.
Regularly report on the status of the project, providing progress updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting of any changes to the scope of work, cost, or timelines.
Ensure that construction activities meet all regulatory, quality, and safety standards.
Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure that materials, equipment, and resources are available as per the project schedule.
Track resource allocation to ensure efficient utilization of labor and materials
Manage the document management system, so that data retrieval is searchable and faster.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) from an accredited college or university
Project Management Certification from an accredited society.
At least 9 to 12 years of relevant experience in project control activities in a large power project preferably in a combined cycle Power Project.
Good working knowledge of Primavera –P6/ MS Project software. Should be able to understand and develop S – Curves with earn value systems.
Ability to prepare Project Reports for various project stake holders.
Good understanding of Power Plants preferably combined cycled plants. Should have worked “hands on” in a power plant project execution.
Extensive knowledge and experience in monitoring the overall power project schedule activities at job site.

5-day work week.
Willingness to travel to Corporate/Site Office whenever required
